MEETING MINUTES |

1. |
Summer Camp Sea Base: Numbers need to be confirmed & deposits paid – need a minimum of 6 scouts to attend. Sign-up low so far. |
|
2. |
Summer Camp El Rancho Cima: Need to secure a date for this camp also – it’s filling up fast and need to decide which side to camp at. Pam will follow up. |
|
3. |
New Troop Tents: The
Troop will buy 12 new tents at a cost of app $1500, the same ones, spare poles and look at 1-2 spare rain flies. With growth we will need to look at getting more next year. |
|
4. |
Fundraising: No luck with the YMCA idea; the Spring bulbs fundraiser will be pushed back to the fall as it is late for bulbs here and coincides with Scout Fair tickets sales. Possibly car washes but also good to keep these for Eagle Project fundraisers. Applebee’s Breakfast needs time for ticket sales and more active advertising and tip jars. |

Open Positions: We have 2 new positions that need to be filled ASAP, we need either an Asst Committee Chairman to work with Creed (he is really busy at work and is struggling to make the Committee meetings, he has no problem moving to the Asst position if someone wants to take over as Committee Chair);
Troop Secretary: Committee Meetings Agenda/Minutes of Meeting etc.
There are positions coming available all the time, as we are growing we should have more parents to help spread the load. It would be good for some positions to have a back-up to train to take over or just to share the load.

January Applebee's Breakfast:
dates conflict, needs to be rescheduled. |

Monster Truck Jam:
Sat January 23rd, evening – need to get payments & buy tickets |
|

TriDistrict Troop Fair: Tuesday 2nd February, 6-10 scouts and leaders needed, Tower needs to be completed. |
|

SHAC 100th Anniversary Gala @ Minute Maid Park: Thur 18th February, Cost $16 – we need sign-up for this event and get tickets bought ASAP – need someone to coordinate |
|

12. |
Pedro Campout: The Pedro campout will be at Huntsville State Park on Feb 27-28th, sites are booked. Robert Jenkins is scoutmaster at this campout – need as many scoutmasters and Troop leaders (SPL, ASPL, PL, ASPL, Troop Guide, Eagle Scouts) to attend to work with Pedro’s. |

Board of Reviews: A date/time needs to be requested in advance from Teresa Harms by email for a Board of Review, Teresa won’t be able to make every meeting |

14. |
Troop Elections: The next Troop Elections will be held on Tuesday 23rd February at the meeting. |
|
15. |
Court of Honor: Tuesday 23rd March – we will have the PLC meeting on MONDAY 22nd March so we can accommodate the COH. |
|
16. |
Scout Fair: Saturday 24th April, Jay will get with Donald to see about reserving Kroger dates with SHAC, Scouts can now earn up to 49% from ticket sales – a great way to boost their script account |

17. |
AOB: First Aid Kits to be checked: Texas State Park Pass – to be renewed at Enchanted Rock campout |
|
18. |
